This salt normally only comes in large bulk packages for institutions and laboratories, but we have broken it down into convenient resealable 5 and 10 gallon package. 1 pound makes 4 gallons of sea water. This breaks down to 1/4 pound per gallon, which measures out to 1/3 cup per gallon. You may want to purchase a Crystal Sea Hydrometer to ensure you are within the safe range for sea water of 1.020-1.025 specific gravity. We mixed a gallon using the 1/3 cup per gallon and came up with a SG just under 1.024. Shipping for the 5 or 10 gallon packages alone is $3.85 per package.
