Youth Fitness Trainer:

Description: Energetic and motivating Certified Personal Trainers needed to work with children in an innovative anti-obesity program.

Requirements:

  • Must be certified as a personal trainer through nationally accredited agency or have a degree in Physical Education
  • Certification for or experience in working with children a big plus, but not required.  Continuing education is available for youth fitness training.
  • Qualified applicants selected must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug testing prior to starting work
  • High school diploma required, college degree or at least working toward one is preferred
  • CPR certification for the Professional Rescuer (inclusive of adults and children) is required
  • Individual Personal Trainer insurance is required-- if you don’t have it, we can get you in touch with companies that provide it.
  • Available evenings and weekends. Reliable transportation is required.

  • Preferably credentialed with local health insurance organizations, but not an absolute requirement
  • Experience with children’s nutrition is preferred, but not an absolute requirement, willing to train

  • Individual malpractice insurance required
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Evening and weekend availability

  • Experience with children is preferred
